Course Syllabus

This course provides an overview of the U.S. Legal System, examining (1) its Colonial-American historical foundation; (2) the historical development and contemporary structure, admission requisites, teaching methods, and study requirements of the U.S. legal educational system; (3) governmental admission requirements for entry into the U.S. legal profession; (4) the different U.S. legal profession occupational roles; (5) the U.S. Court System and its methods for creating Law; (6) the U.S. Legislative System and its methods for creating Law; (7) the typology of Law; and (9) the examination of the step-by-step process of a court lawsuit.
